Privacy Policy

Last updated September 16, 2026

This policy explains what information the From Guardrails to Wisdom course collects, how it is used, and who else is involved. The course is published by Elevate Counseling Group and taught by Andrew Simmons, LPC-S.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name and email address. If you create an account using email and password, your authentication credentials are securely handled by our authentication provider. We do not have access to your password in readable form. If you sign in with Google instead, we receive your name and email address from Google — not your Google password.
  • Track selection: whether you signed up for the parent/guardian course or the professional continuing-education track. If you choose the professional track, we also collect the profession and license number you enter.
  • Enrollment information: the fact that you purchased the course, which course and track you have access to, and when access was granted.
  • Course progress: which lessons you have opened or completed, so the course can resume where you left off.
  • Your written responses: workbook and module-review answers you type, saved to your account so you can return to them.
  • Assessment results: for the professional track, quiz and final-assessment answers and scores.
  • Certificate records: for the professional track, the legal name, profession, and license number you attest to, the certificate number, verification code, completion date, and hours awarded.
  • Support communications: whatever you choose to include when you email us.
  • Payment records: confirmation from Stripe that a payment succeeded, along with the email address used at checkout. We never receive or store your card number.

We do not run advertising trackers, behavioral profiling, or a third-party analytics service on this site, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Information about your children

We do not ask for information about your children. Anything you write about your family in a workbook answer is stored with your account because you typed it there; you can leave those fields as general or as specific as you wish.

How we use information

  • to create and maintain your account and sign you in
  • to give you access to the course you purchased
  • to save your progress and your written responses
  • to administer the professional continuing-education track and issue certificates
  • to support public verification of a certificate by its code
  • to process purchases and confirm enrollment
  • to prevent fraud and protect the platform against abuse
  • to answer your support questions
  • to send necessary account and purchase email, such as sign-in and password-reset messages

We do not send marketing email.

Payment information

Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. Card numbers, security codes, and billing details are entered on Stripe's systems and never pass through ours. What we receive is a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the email address used at checkout, and Stripe's reference identifiers for the transaction — enough to grant your access and to issue a refund if you ask for one. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Third-party services

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Our hosting, database, authentication, and file-storage provider — runs the site and stores accounts, enrollments, progress, written responses, and certificate records on our behalf.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Cookies and browser storage

We use browser storage only for things the site needs to work. Your sign-in session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in. Session storage remembers which track you are viewing while you move through the course, and a small cookie remembers interface preferences such as whether a side panel is open. One optional worksheet saves your answers in your own browser so you don't lose them — that data stays on your device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children's privacy

The course and accounts are intended for adults 18 and older. Although the content is about raising children and teenagers, children should not create accounts or submit personal information through the course. If you believe a child has created an account, email info@elevaterockwall.com and we will remove it.

Professional continuing-education records

Learners on the professional track have records that parent-course learners do not: the profession and license number entered at sign-up, assessment answers and scores, the attestation you complete before a certificate is issued (legal name, license number, and the time of attestation), and the certificate record itself. These records are kept so a certificate can be reissued or verified later. Parent-course accounts have no license information, no assessment scores, and no certificate record.

Public certificate verification

Each continuing-education certificate carries a verification code. Anyone holding that code can look it up and see only the name on the certificate, the certificate number, the course title and version, and the completion date. Nothing else from your account — not your email address, license number, assessment answers, workbook responses, or purchase information — is shown. Certificates are not listed in a public directory or searchable by name; a lookup requires the code itself.

How long we keep information

We keep your account, progress, and written responses for as long as you have an account, so the course is there when you come back. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your progress and written responses and keep only the minimum purchase and certificate records we need for financial and continuing-education recordkeeping. Stripe keeps its own transaction records under its own policies.

Security

Access to course data requires authentication, database access rules restrict records to the account they belong to, payments are handled by Stripe rather than by us, and traffic to the site is encrypted. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and we do not claim any particular certification or security standard.

Your choices

Email info@elevaterockwall.com to ask for a copy of your data, correct something, or delete your account. Requests are handled by a person rather than an automated tool, and we reply within two business days.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the course changes; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes. Related documents: Terms of Use and Refund Policy.
